Steady LED : Cabinet temperature.
4. This unit has the option to display temperature in either Celsius or Fahrenheit. To change the
setting, press and hold both buttons (Set upper / Set lower) simultaneously for approximately
5 seconds, a prompt (beep) will sond and the green pilot light adjacent to the C or F mode
illuminates.
IMPORTANT : always set temperature in both compartment with a minimal delta of 4°C, as an
example, 8°C in upper and 12°C in lower.
INTERIOR LIGHT
The interior light operates « automatically ». The light automatically comes on with the opening
of the door and goes out when the door is closed (depending on models).
Some models have a switch on control panel to light on or off the light.
DEFROSTING –CONDENSATION
Your wine cellar is designed with an « Auto-cycle » defrost system. During the « Off cycle » the
refrigerated surfaces of the wine cooler (interior rear wall) defrost automatically. The defrost
water is channeled into a condensate drain pan which is located in the back of the wine cellar
next to the compressor from where it evaporates.
LOADING
The maximum recommended filling capacity is given as an non-binding indication to be able to
rapidly estimate (as with capacity ratings for refrigerators) the size of the wine cellar. The
cabinets are tested with a standard bottle of the “claret light” type (standardisation classifies
each type of bottle according to its geographical origin : Bordeaux, Burgundy, Provence etc..
region and its type / shape : Traditional, heavy, light, flute glass etc.. each one corresponding to
a said diameter and height).
In reality, one could probably store more bottles by pilling them up one on top of each other
leaving out the racks, but a “diversified wine cellar” is made up of a wide variety of bottles and
the practical aspect of a day-to-day organisation of a cellar limits its storage capacity. You will
therefore probably store less bottles than the maximum quotas announced
.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning your wine cellar (to be done regularly) disconnect the appliance from the mains
or remove corresponding fuse.
Upon receiving your wine cellar, leave the door open for 24 hours. When cleaning the inside of
the wine cellar, you can use a solution of tablespoon of baking soda to one (1) quart of water, or
a mild soap suds solution, or some mild detergent. Do not use solvents or abrasive products.
Wash the plastic cover of the shelves with a solution of warm water and a neutral detergent then
rinse and dry correctly. The wooden shelves does not require cleaning.
