againsttheshoulderontheaxleshaft(Figure24-8,Page24-6).

1.Useexternalretainingringpliers(0.047inch(1.19mm)tip)toremovetheretainingring(74).Placeabearing
pullerwedgeattachment(P/N1012812)ontheaxleshaftbetweenthewheelmountingangeandthebearing
(Figure24-8,Page24-6).SeealsoFigure24-9,Page24-8.SeefollowingCAUTION.
CAUTION
•Donottightenthebearingpullerwedgeattachmentagainsttheaxleshaft.Thiscoulddamagetheaxle
shaftwhenpressingthebearingandcollaroff.
2.Pressthebearing(71)andcollar(73)offtogether(Figure24-8,Page24-6).SeealsoFigure24-9,Page24-8.

NOTE:Itmaybenecessarytoheatthecollartoremoveit.
Donotremovethelargeaxleretainingring(70)fromtheaxle(Figure24-8,Page24-6).Sincetheinner
diameteroftheretainingring(70)issmallerthantheouterdiameterofthebearing(71),theringmustbe
inplaceontheaxlebeforeanewbearingandcollararepressedon.
