Why does the display screen show jumbled characters on my Club Car Precedent?

  If the display screen shows jumbled or undecipherable characters, it could be due to a speed controller malfunction, handset malfunction, loose connection at the CDT port, intermittent handset cord failure, intermittent handset cord adaptor failure, or loose vehicle wire harness connections. If it is a handset malfunction, disconnect the CDT cord from the vehicle, wait a few seconds, and then reconnect the handset.
