General safety instructions
• For safe handling of the device, the user must have read and understood the operating instruc-
tions before first use.
• Always keep instructions for use within reach.
• If you sell the device or pass it along to someone else, be sure to also include these instructions
for use.
• Heed all safety instructions! If you do not observe the safety instructions you will endanger
yourself and others.
• Do not subject the device to rain. Do not use the device in wet surroundings.
• The device must only be used if it is in perfect condition. If the device or a part of it is defective,
it must be repaired by OBI Service.
• Do not use the device in areas where there is danger of explosion or in the vicinity of combus-
tible liquids or gases!
• Do not aim the water jet directly toward the device or other electrical components! Mortal dan-
ger due to electric shock!
• Do not touch the mains plug with wet hands! Always pull out the mains plug at the plug and not
by the cable.
• The device may only be connected to outlets with protective contacts that have been profes-
sionally installed, grounded and inspected. Mains voltage and fuse protection must comply
with the technical data.
• As fuse protection, the device must be equipped with an earth leakage circuit breaker.
• Do not bend, crush, pull at or ride [run] over the power cable or extension cord.
• Lay the extension cord in such a way that it cannot get into the liquid being conveyed.
• Before all work on the device, disconnect the mains plug.
• Do not install or turn on the device if there are people or animals in the conveying medium (e. g.
swimming pool) or making contact with the conveying medium.
• Children and young people under the age of 16 may not use this device and must be kept away
from the device during start-up.
• Do not leave the device unsupervised. Unplug the mains plug during periods of extended
absence.
• As a general rule, repairs are only to be carried out by an electrician.
If repairs are performed improperly, there is danger of liquid getting into the electronic compo-
nents of the device.
