1 INTRODUCTION
This manual defines the installation of the RT-7000 series, antenna configuraitons and
software configurations that effect the RT-7000 series products. This will include the
following RT-7000 products:
 The Panel Mount Radio (PMR)
 The Remote Mount Radio (RMR)
 The Remote Control Display Unit (RCDU)
The modular architecture of the RT-7000 series can accommodate any of the
following modules. This can be any combination of:
 Cobham Wideband Transceiver
 Cobham Motorola APX 8000
 Cobham Search and Rescue Module
Brief System Overview
The RT-7000 series comprises of modules that can be both embedded into the RT-
7000 platforms, or accessible externally of the platform, and control units, MCDU and
the RCDU that can interface with the RT-7000 series products.
Shown below, Figure 1-1, is the framework for the RT-7000 Panel Mount Radio,
configured with three internal modules.
