Summary

Speech Processor Controls

Turn Speech Processor On/Off

Press the On/Off button to turn the speech processor on or off.

Adjust Volume

Press Select until volume symbol appears, then use Up/Down buttons.

Adjust Microphone Sensitivity

Press Select until M symbol appears, adjust sensitivity using Up/Down buttons.

Reset Speech Processor

Turn processor off, then hold Program button while turning back on.

Additional Program and Feature Settings

Select Another Program

Press the Program button to select the next available program.

Select Autosensitivity

Press the autosensitivity button.

Lock Buttons

Hold Select button until lock symbol appears and a beep is heard.

Setting Alarms and Levels

Set Personal/Public Alarm

Press Options button repeatedly to cycle through alarm options.

Setting Appropriate Levels

Ensure coil is over implant; adjust autosensitivity or sensitivity based on environment.

Troubleshooting and Maintenance

Replace Batteries

Turn off processor, release latch, remove old batteries, insert new ones, and close cover.

Troubleshooting Low Battery

Check battery insertion or replace batteries if Low Battery symbol persists.

Troubleshooting No Sound

Ensure processor is on, cables connected, coil placed correctly, and sensitivity set.

Testing RF Transmission

Place coil over processor to check for RF test coil symbol, indicating transmission.
