By means of a special disc
and
rim
the
rear
track
can be adjusted
from
56 to 84 inches
in 4-inch steps to accommodate
the
different
widths
of row crops
and
the
varying
de-
mands of farmers. Splined axles
with
their
troublesome clamping
arrangements
are
avoided, and by following
the
illustrations
and
the
following example,
the
desired
tread
can be easily secured.
The
right
rear
wheel is shown in section as
it
appears
when adjusted to
the
different
widths of tread. The figures in circles show the
tread
width provided in
the
adjacent
view, and on examining
the
different
views it will be noticed
that
by using a
rim
with
a special offset clamp and
the
special dished disc wheel
the
different
adjustments
are
