  If the Code Barcode Reader scans the barcode but doesn't transmit data to the host, there might be an issue with the communication mode. You can resolve this by setting the scanner to the correct communication mode using the appropriate M-code available on Code's website. Note that USB Keyboard is the most common mode. Alternatively, if CortexTools2 is open, it might be taking ownership of the scanner, preventing data transmission elsewhere; in this case, close CortexTools2.

  If the host receives incorrect data or misses characters when using the Code Barcode Reader, the keyboard language may be incorrect. Use an M-code to set the keyboard language to match your system settings. Also, the communication protocol could be incorrect. Find and scan the M-Code to set raw data or package data.
