INTRODUCTION
The
COM102
Programmable
Scanner gives you
direct
access
to
more than 22,000 frequencies that include police,
ambulance, ham radio and transport services. You can
select
and
scan through up to ten channels
and
change your
selection at any time. The COM
102
incorporates a custom-
designed microprocessor
(a
minute built-in computer) which
gives your scanner the following special features:
LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY - shows channel number,
frequency and other key modes.
KEYPAD - enables you
to
enter
and
change frequencies
at
any time.
2-SECOND SCAN DELAY - avoids missing replies on a
channel while you
are
scanning.
MEMORY BACKUP - stores the channel frequencies
in
your
scanner
's
memory
for up to 1 hour, if you unplug
the
scanner or
if
a power failure occurs.
LOCKOUT FUNCTION - allows the scanner to skip over
specified or unwanted channels.

close proximity to a radio or
television to prevent unwanted interference.
