I. Disconnecting the Power
1. To shut down your computer, click the
Start
button, and
then click
Shut Down
. The Shut Down Windows dialog
box is displayed. Click
OK
to turn the computer off.
2. Disconnect the
power cord
from the electrical outlet

and
2
computer (see Figure 1-2).
Failure to disconnect the power from the computer may
result in personal injury.
