Equipment Power
The diagram above shows how the filter pump is wired. Additional pumps should be wired the
same way.
To wire high voltage equipment
1. At the Sub-panel, install circuit breaker. Run wires from circuit breaker to relay terminal
block LINE 1 and LINE 2.
2. Connect equipment to the relay terminal block LOAD 1 and LOAD 2.
Note
If pump is greater than 3 H.P., install an external contactor. Use relay to switch coil of
external contactor.
Adding Relays
The Power Center comes standard with 4 relays. It is possible to add additional relays (model
RLY-LX). The LX-3400 Power Center has room for 7 relays, and the LX-3400L Power Center
has room for 8 relays.

The 3-hour override can be
cancelled by switching to
Service, and then back to Auto.
Make sure the Auto/Service
key is in the Auto position.
Override Verification:
The Auto lamp will blink
during the 3-Hour Override.
Instructions:
When adding chemicals to the pool,
the filter pump can be set to stay on
for 3 hours -or- stay off for 3 hours.
This overrides the programming of
the Cp3400 indoor controller on a
one-time basis. The same procedure
can be used on the other equipment
keys 1-3.
