9. MAINTENANCE AND CARE
We recommend you have the bicycle serviced by a specialist every so
often. The time between each service will depend on the use you make
of the bicycle.
The specialist, apart from checking all its components, will tell you
whether you need to replace any of the parts of your bicycle.
Any chance of defective parts due to the use of your bicycle is excluded
from the warranty.
Even if you have your bicycle regularly serviced by a specialist, we
advise you to do a quick check of the most important parts yourself:
Steering: check the tightness of the handlebar stem’s locknut and screw.
Brakes: check and adjust if necessary.
Saddle: check the tightness of the seatpost and that the height limit line
is inside the frame. Check that the saddle is at the right height for the
person who normally uses the bicycle.
Pedals: check the axles of the pedals and make sure they are properly
mounted on the crank arms.
Tyres: check and inate, if necessary, using a hand pump. The correct
pressure is marked on the side of the tyre. Replace the tyre when it has
worn out.
Clean the bicycle regularly. We advise using a sponge and/or a soft
damp cloth with a cleaning solution specic for bicycles.
