HANDLEBARS, STEM AND STEERING
We recommend you check the steering set regularly.
The handlebars must turn freely without any play between the front
fork and the handlebars.
To check the state of the steering set, pull on the front brake so that
the front wheel locks. Hold the handlebars rmly and move it back
and forwards in short, sharp movements. You shouldn’t notice any
movement in the steering set.
If there is play, we recommend you take the bicycle to a specialist for
them to adjust this part of the bicycle.
Check the handlebars and the handlebar stem regularly for any signs of
wear or fatigue. If you detect any signs of damage, change them before
getting on the bicycle.
Check that all the screws are properly tightened. Find out what the
correct torque is for each component.
REAR AND FRONT WHEEL AND TYRES
Removing the rear wheel.
1. Turn the bicycle upside down, resting it on the saddle and the
handlebars.
2. If necessary, dismount the little curved aluminium tube of the
V-Brake to leave enough space to take the wheel off.
3. Move the chain to the smallest sprocket.
4. Release the wheel’s quick-release, leaving it in the position where the
word “OPEN” written on the release lever is visible.
5. Move the rear derailleur towards the rear of the bicycle. Guide the
wheel out of the frame, removing the chain from the sprocket.
6. Take the wheel off the frame.
