(34) Connections - CH-3
These are the input sockets for CH-3.
The audio source devices are connected here which are to be controlled by the
channel faders (3) CH-3.
The sockets PHONO are intended exclusively for the record player with magnetic
systems and have a corresponding equaliser pre-amplifier.
(35) Connections - CH-2
These are the input sockets for CH-2.
The audio source devices are connected here which are to be controlled by the
channel faders (3) CH-2 .
Only high-level devices such as CD players, cassette decks etc. (no record players)
can be connected.
(36) Switch CD1/MIC2
This switch determines which input sockets are selected with the input selection
switch (25) CH-2 in position CD1/MIC2.
CD1: device at the sockets CD1 is reproduced through CH-2
MIC2: microphone at the input MIC2 is reproduced through CH-2
(37) Connections CH-1
These are the input sockets for CH-1.
The audio source devices are connected here which are to be controlled by the
channel faders (3) CH-1.
(38) Connection MIC 1
Microphone input for a microphone with a 6-3-mm jack which is to be reproduced
via CH-1.
This input is only active when the channel selection switch (25) CH-1 is in position
MIC.
(39) Connection MIC 2
Microphone input for a microphone with 6-3-mm jack which is to be reproduced via
CH-2.
This input is only active when the channel selection switch (25) CH is in position
CD1/MIC2 and the switch CD1/MIC2 (36) in position MIC2.
(40) Screw terminals GND
To avoid buzzing, an earth connection can be made through these screw terminals
between the mixer and the earth cables of the record players (mostly black cable
with clamp-type socket).
35
(41) Connections FADER CONTROL
Sockets for the connection of CD players of the "American Audio Q series” standard
which can be controlled by means of the fader start feature.
A 5V signal is pending briefly here when directed to the earth depending on the posi-
tion of the cross fader (9).
Setting up the device
Make sure when setting up the device with other equipment that
there is sufficient ventilation.
Do not put the device on soft surfaces such as, for example, a
carpet or on a bed. This prevents the removal of heat from the
device and can lead to overheating (fire risk).
Never drill or screw additional screws into the mixer housing to
fasten the device; this would damage the device and it can bring
you into contact with hazardous voltage.
When setting up the device, make sure that it is stable and placed
on a stable surface as, if the mixer falls over, persons could be
injured.
Also make sure, when setting up the device, that the connection
cables are not squeezed or damaged by sharp edges.
Always lay cable in such a manner that no-one can stumble over it
or become caught up in it. There is a risk of injury!
Due to the variety of lacquers and polishes for furniture, the feet of the
device could leave visible residue on the furniture through chemical
reaction. Apart from this, pressure points are possible due to the
weight of the apparatus. The device should therefore not be placed on
valuable furniture surfaces without suitable protection.
When selecting the place of set-up, pay attention to the fact that direct, intensive
sunlight, vibrations, dust, heat, cold and dampness have to be avoided.
In addition, there may be no strong transformers or engines close to the mixer as
these could influence the mixer.
The mixer is suitable for installation in a desk and as a table device. The 4 fastening
holes in the upper covering board can be used for fastening when mounting on a
desk. .
