What to do if my Continental Fireplaces Builder Indoor Fireplace remote controls lights but no spark or flame?
    • D
      Debra AdkinsAug 18, 2025
If your Continental Fireplaces Indoor Fireplace remote controls lights but there's no spark or flame, and the remote is locked out, try these steps: First, reset the system by turning the power off and then on again. Replace the batteries in the receiver or remote, as low battery can cause this issue. Ensure the appliance is being operated by the same device that turned it on. If there's an error with synchronization, reset both the receiver and remote. Also, make sure the remote isn't too far from the receiver. Check for bent wire connector pins and straighten them if necessary. Finally, if the valve wiring is damaged, it should be replaced.

Why is the pilot sparking but not lighting on my Continental Fireplaces Builder Indoor Fireplace?
    • A
      Andrew CohenAug 20, 2025
If your Continental Fireplaces Indoor Fireplace pilot sparks but won't light, start by verifying that the incoming gas line ball valve is 'open'. If you are using propane, check if you are out of propane gas and fill the tank if necessary. The pilot supply line may contain air, so repeat the ignition process several times or purge the pilot supply line. Ensure correct polarity of wiring of thermocouple (if equipped). You can also reset program: hold reset button on receiver and wait for 2 beeps. Release after second beep. Press small flame button on remote within 20 seconds, you will hear an additional beep (this signals a successful reset).
