4.1.1 Checking the calibration
The instrument is supplied complete with a calibration bar on which its transit time in
micro-seconds is printed. This bar is used as a reference when checking the calibration of
the values displayed by the instrument.
Before calibration, check that the gain is set on High (H). Refer to chapter 3.2 for more
details on this function.
Place the calibration bar between the two probe heads on which contact paste has been
applied and apply a small constant pressure. Check that the display shows the same value
as that printed on the calibration bar (+/- 0,1 micro-seconds). If it does not, the
instrument can be re-calibrated, press the STOP key for 5 seconds.
Now by using the arrow keys: and it is possible to adjust the zero of the instrument
until the display shows the same value as that printed on the calibration bar.
Press the STOP key to save the calibration.

To return to the main menu press STOP.
The calibration will remain in the memory even when the instrument is switched off.
