4. Wipe the inside and outside of the Body (7) with a moist cloth.
5. Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
WARNING: DO NOT immerse the Body, Power Cord or Mains Plug (10) in water or
any other liquid.
Cooking with your Sear Slow Cooker
1. Place the appliance on a stable, level and heat resistant surface away from the edge of
the work surface. When moving it lift only by using the Carrying Handles (5).
2. Check the User Control (6) is set to “A” (OFF).
Connect the appliance to a suitable wall socket and switch the socket on.
WARNING. Before connecting the power check that the voltage of your local mains
supply matches that shown on the Rating Plate of your appliance.
IMPORTANT. Do not use the appliance on non-heat-resistant surfaces.
3. Cooking a Meal Using the Sear Feature:
a. First wash the Sear Cooking Pot and Lid as described on PAGE 9.
b. Add a small amount of your preferred cooking oil to the Cooking Pot.
c. Place on a compatible Hob and preheat on a high heat for a couple of minutes or until
suciently hot.
WARNING: Induction Hobs are not compatible with the Sear Cooking Pot.
d. Add the ingredients you wish to sear and cook until soft and golden (for example onions),
or browned (for example meats).
e. Stir as required whilst cooking holding the Cooking Pot Handles using an Oven Mitt
or similar.
WARNING: DO NOT use metal Kitchen Utensils when searing as this will damage
the non-stick coating.
f. Turn o the Hob.
g. Using Oven Gloves or Mitts remove the Cooking Pot from the Hob and place directly
into the Inner Container (5) of the Base Unit.
h. Add your remaining ingredients and stir.
