Why my Cooper & Hunter CH-09LCDTU/I does not turn on?
    • D
      Dr. Cheryl MccoyAug 5, 2025
If your Cooper & Hunter Air Conditioner doesn't turn on, it might be due to a few reasons. Firstly, the unit has a 3-minute protection feature to prevent overloading, so you must wait three minutes before restarting. Secondly, if the Operation light and PRE-DEF indicators are on (for Cooling and Heating Models), or the “Fan Only” indicator is lit (in Cooling-only Models), the unit is likely defrosting due to cold outdoor temperatures. In this case, allow the unit time to defrost before attempting to turn it on again.

Why does my Cooper & Hunter CH-09LCDTU/I Air Conditioner change from COOL mode to FAN mode?
    • C
      Charles LopezAug 15, 2025
Your Cooper & Hunter Air Conditioner might switch from COOL to FAN mode for two primary reasons: either to prevent frost buildup, in which case it will return to cooling once the temperature rises, or because the set temperature has been reached, and the compressor has turned off. If it's due to frost prevention, allow the unit to operate in FAN mode until the temperature increases. If it's due to reaching the set temperature, simply wait for the temperature to fluctuate, and the unit will resume cooling.

What to do if my Cooper & Hunter CH-09LCDTU/I emits white mist from both units?
    • R
      Roy BurtonAug 26, 2025
If both the indoor and outdoor units of your Cooper & Hunter Air Conditioner are emitting white mist, especially when the unit restarts in HEAT mode after defrosting, it's likely due to moisture generated from the defrosting process. This is a normal occurrence, and no action is needed.
