1. INTRODUCTION
About this Manual
This Update Guide describes the new features and changes introduced to the
9853, 9752 and 9751 with version 5.0x software.
The changes described in this guide are apply to the following manuals:
Updated manuals are available on the Cooper Security web site at
www.coopersecurity.co.uk
2. Changes To Hardware
The control unit can now operate on 60Hz 230VAC mains supplies. Use
command 991 to check if the control unit is connected to a 50 or 60 Hz
supply.
3. Changes To Installer Programming
Leading ‘0’ Now Allowed in Access Codes
All access codes, both user and installer, four-digit and six-digit, can have “0”
as the first digit.
Entering and Leaving Installer Mode
When you enter Installer Mode you do not need to press “0” before entering
the Engineer Code. (Unless, that is, you have set the Engineer Code to have
“0” as the first digit.)
The control unit now carries out an extra check when you leave programming.
You will see a new message on the keypad display as follows:
1. Press 99
y
at the keypad
The display shows:
99:Checking Bus
followed after a few seconds by 99:Exit Eng?
2. Press y.
The display shows:
99:Checking Sys
followed by the time and date.
The system is now in user mode.
