Function Description:
The CLC14364 is a portable laptop designed for general computing tasks, running on Windows™ 10 Home in S Mode. It offers a range of features for productivity, entertainment, and communication. Users can interact with the device through a keyboard, touchpad, and a 14.1-inch LCD screen. The laptop supports various connectivity options, including Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth®, allowing for external device connections and internet access. It also includes a front camera for photos and videos, and built-in speakers for audio playback. The Windows™ 10 S operating system emphasizes security and performance by exclusively running apps from the Microsoft™ Store, though users have the option to switch out of S Mode for broader app compatibility.

Usage Features:
- Power Button: Located on the top right of the keyboard, it turns the device on/off, and can be used to set the device to Sleep or wake it from Sleep.
- Front Camera: Positioned above the screen, it allows users to take photos and videos.
- Touchpad: Located below the keyboard, it is used to move the cursor.
- Keyboard: Standard keyboard for typing, with indicators for Power, Caps Lock, and Num Lock.
- Microphone: Transmits audio signals for voice commands or calls.
- Charging Indicator: A red light illuminates when the device is connected to a power adapter.
- Charging Port: Accepts a 12V/2A charger.
- USB Inputs: Two ports for connecting external USB devices.
- Mini-HDMI® Output: Connects the laptop to an external monitor, TV, or other HDMI®-enabled device.
- Headphone Jack: Transmits audio signals to speakers or headphones.
- Speakers: Built-in 2x1W speakers for audio playback without external devices.
- Getting Started: Requires a full charge (at least six hours) before initial use. To turn on, press and hold the power key for two seconds. Connect to Wi-Fi® after loading. To wake from sleep, press the power key, then the upwards arrow key (↑) to log in.
- Windows™ 10 S Start Menu: Displays applications as "magnets" for easy access. Requires a Microsoft™ account for full functionality of applications.
- Switching out of S Mode: Users can switch out of S Mode if they need to install apps not available in the Microsoft™ Store. This is a one-way switch, meaning users cannot revert to S Mode unless a software upgrade becomes available. It is recommended to back up files before switching. The process involves logging into the Microsoft™ Store, searching for "Switch out of S Mode," and following the on-screen instructions to download and install the necessary software.
- Applications Introduction: Apps can be pinned to the Start Menu by right-clicking the icon and selecting "Pin to Start." Apps can be removed by selecting "Unpin from Start."
- Downloading Apps: Apps can be downloaded from the Microsoft™ Store. A Microsoft™ account is required.
- Menu Bar: Located at the bottom of the screen within the Start Menu, providing quick access to PC settings, Documents, Pictures, Settings, and Power options (Sleep, Shutdown, Restart).
- Search Bar: Found in the Start Menu, it allows users to find documents, files, or search the web.
- Action Center: Accessed by clicking the Windows Key + A, it displays notifications and provides quick access to customized settings like Bluetooth®, Network, Location, Nightlight, Settings, Connect, Battery Saver, and Airplane Mode.
- Battery Status: Viewable at the lower right corner of the Lock Screen or Desktop Taskbar.
- Connecting to Devices:
- Bluetooth®: Turn on Bluetooth® on both devices, open Action Center, hold "Bluetooth," select "Go To Settings," and follow pairing instructions.
- Printer/Scanner: Access "All Settings" > Devices in the Action Center.
- Second Screen (HDMI®): Connect via HDMI® cable for movies, multiple apps, or presentations.
- Wireless Display: Open Action Center, click "Connect," and follow instructions to connect to wireless display/audio devices.
- Personalizing Your Laptop:
- Background and Color: Customize Start Screen colors and background via Action Center > "All Settings" > "Personalization."
- Lock Screen: Configure options via Action Center > "All Settings" > "Personalization" > "Lock screen."
- Desktop: Change theme, background, colors via Action Center > "Personalization."
- Notifications and Actions: Manage notifications via Action Center > "All Settings" > "System" > "Notifications and Actions."
- Create Tiles: Pin favorite apps and websites to the Start Screen.
- Customize Tiles: Move, resize, or unpin tiles from the Start Screen.
- User Accounts: Choose between a Microsoft™ account (for Windows™ Store, OneDrive™) or a local account. Manage accounts via Action Center > "All Settings" > "Accounts" or "Sign-in Options." Create PIN passwords or change existing passwords.

- Restart/Refresh Device:
- Refresh: Action Center > "All Settings" > "Update and Security" > "Recovery" > choose refresh option.
- Restart: Action Center > "All Settings" > "Update and Security" > "Recovery" > "Restart Now."
- Multitasking: Use multiple desktops to organize files. Click Task View or Alt+Tab to switch/view apps. Drag app windows to the side to use two or more apps simultaneously. Create new desktops via Task View > New Desktop.
Maintenance Features:
- Read Before Use:
- Best used in non-tropical areas below 6560 feet (2000 meters).
- Protect from impacts, bumps, and falls.
- Avoid extended use in extreme temperatures (too cold, too hot), high humidity, or dusty environments.
- Do not expose to direct sunlight.
- Avoid strong magnetic and static environments.
- If exposed to water/liquid, power off immediately and allow to dry completely before turning on.
- Clean with a dry, soft cloth; avoid chemical cleaning products.
- Regularly back up important data and files.
- Do not disassemble the device, as this will void the warranty.
- Turn Off Wi-Fi®: Turn off Wi-Fi® when not in use to extend battery life.
- Disconnect from a VPN: Toggle the VPN switch off when not in use to extend battery life.
- Warranty Information: Core Innovations warrants the product against defects in material or workmanship for 90 Days (Parts & Labor) and 1 Year (Limited). A valid proof of purchase is required. The warranty is void if the product is damaged during packaging opening, modification, improper transport/storage/use/assembly/disassembly, exposure to adverse elements, mounting, end-user negligence, water damage, or barcode tampering. Cosmetic damage, accident, abuse, misuse, fire, water vapor exposure, excessive humidity, liquid contact, earthquake, normal wear and tear, removed/defaced serial numbers, or use with non-compliant third-party devices are not covered. The company is not liable for consequential, indirect, incidental, special, or punitive damages. For 90 Days Parts & Labor, warranted defects will be repaired or replaced without charge if submitted within 90 days of purchase. For 1 Year Limited Parts, customers can return the product for repair or replacement, but will be responsible for labor charges and incidental/indirect costs. Customers are responsible for transportation costs and insurance, and must retain original packaging. A return authorization number (RMA#) is required for service.
