Technical Support Manual 05/2018 Rel. 2.1.3 Page 18
4. PICK-UP SPRING PRE-CHARGE REGULATION
Equipment required: 6 mm hex wrench
To function properly, the pick-up must be pre-charged with a spring. In order to do so, the spring must be compressed with a screw
according to that described below:
1. ALL PROCEDURES (INCLUDING MINOR) MUST BE CARRIED OUT BY QUALIFIED STAFF;
2.
BEFORE PERFORMING ANY PROCEDURE, DISCONNECT THE ELECTRICAL POWER SUPPLY;
3. Manually tighten the hex screw until it stops;
4. Repeat step 1 for the other pick-up;
5. Make sure that the springs and hex screws are perpendicular to the pick-up support unit. If required, loosen the screw, turn
the spring (or invert it) and repeat steps 1 and 2 until you obtain perpendicularity;
6. Tighten the screws of the two pick-ups by turning three times. It is good practice to perform one turn at a time, alternating
the two pick-up springs. See figure F4.1;
7. Calibrate the machine.
IMPORTANT: Each time a pick-up is tightened or loosened, the machine MUST always be calibrated.
