8.1 Changing the battery
- When the unit displays “LO BAT” at start up, the battery should be replaced.
- Only replace the battery in a safe area.
- Never replace the battery when an explosive gas atmosphere is present
- The user should observe the correct installation polarity of the battery as shown on the inside of
the battery holder.
- FOR ATEX MODEL:
Replace the battery with ONLY approved battery models:
Duracell MN 1604, Energizer 522, Energizer L522, Varta C4922
9 Special Conditions for Safe Use
WARNING: - The enclosure is made of aluminium. If it is connected and used in an area where the use of
category 1G apparatus is required, it shall be installed such that even in the event of rare incidents,
ignition sources due to impact and friction sparks are excluded.
WARNING – Do not replace battery when an explosive gas atmosphere is present.
