Overview

This document serves as the user's manual for the SuperFit Treadmill, model SP37460, manufactured by Costway. It provides comprehensive instructions for assembly, operation, safety, maintenance, and troubleshooting, ensuring users can effectively and safely utilize their new fitness equipment.

The primary function of this device is to provide a convenient and effective way for users to engage in cardiovascular exercise indoors. It simulates walking or running, allowing users to control their speed and monitor their workout progress. The treadmill is designed for home use, offering a personal fitness solution that can be integrated into daily routines regardless of external weather conditions.

Usage Features:

The treadmill is designed for straightforward operation, beginning with a simple startup sequence. After placing the safety lock on the panel and turning on the power switch, the device enters a manual normal mode. Pressing the start button initiates a 3-second countdown, after which the motor starts, and the running belt begins moving at an initial speed of 1 KM/H. Users can then adjust the speed using the "+" and "-" keys or by pressing the "4KM" speed direct selection button, which immediately sets the running belt speed to 4 KM/H. This allows for quick adjustments to match the user's desired intensity.

During exercise, the safety lock is a critical feature. If the safety lock is pulled off, the treadmill immediately stops, the electronic watch refuses any operation, and the window displays "E07," indicating an emergency stop. This ensures user safety by preventing accidents in case of a fall or loss of balance. The electronic watch, or digital meter, provides real-time feedback on various workout parameters. It cycles through time, speed, distance, and calorie data every 5 seconds, allowing users to monitor their progress comprehensively. The display also shows the current speed, which can be manually adjusted.

The treadmill offers different modes to cater to various workout preferences. In manual mode, users can select countdown options for time, distance, or calories, allowing them to set specific goals for their exercise sessions. The program key, when pressed in the stop state, allows users to cycle through a series of pre-set programs (P01-P12), offering structured workouts with varying intensities. This feature adds versatility to the exercise routine, preventing monotony and challenging users with different profiles.

For safety, users are advised to stand on the left and right bars before starting the treadmill and to hold the handrail when stepping onto the running belt. It is crucial to wear appropriate sportswear and sports shoes and avoid running barefoot. The power plug must be connected to a reliably grounded socket with a dedicated circuit to prevent electrical issues. Children should be kept away from the machine to avoid accidents. The manual also emphasizes the importance of stopping exercise and consulting a doctor if any discomfort or abnormal symptoms occur.

The device also incorporates a power-saving mode. If there is no key command input within 10 minutes in the standby state, the system automatically turns off the display to conserve energy. Pressing any key will wake the system up again.

Maintenance Features:

Regular maintenance is crucial for extending the life and ensuring the smooth operation of the treadmill. The manual outlines several key maintenance procedures, including lubrication, running belt tightness adjustment, and running belt deviation adjustment.

Lubrication is essential and should be performed with special methyl silicone oil. The frequency of lubrication depends on the usage intensity: once every 6 months for less than 1 hour per week, once every 3 months for less than 3 hours per week, once every 2 months for 3-6 hours per week, and once a month for more than 6 hours per week. To check if lubrication is needed, users can touch the middle of the running belt back with their hands; if the pad is dry and there is no silicone, lubrication is required. The lubrication process involves stopping and folding the machine, lifting the running belt, and spraying methyl silicone oil into the middle of the running belt and on both sides. Running the treadmill at 1 KM/H for a few minutes helps distribute the oil evenly.

Adjusting the tightness of the running belt is another important maintenance task. While treadmills are adjusted before delivery and installation, the belt may loosen over time, leading to stopping or slipping during exercise. Users can adjust the bolts of the running belt synchronously in a clockwise direction by half a circle to correct this. It is important not to overtighten the belt, as this can increase the load on the motor and damage the motor, running belt, and rollers.

Running belt deviation adjustment is also covered. Deviation can occur if the main body is not placed smoothly, if the user's feet are not centered on the running belt, or if there is uneven force from the user's feet. If the running belt deviates to the left, the left bolt should be adjusted clockwise, or the right bolt counterclockwise. Conversely, if it deviates to the right, the right bolt should be adjusted clockwise, or the left bolt counterclockwise. If the deviation is caused by manufacturing issues, it should return to normal after a few minutes of no-load rotation. The manual warns that running belt deviation can seriously damage the belt if not corrected promptly.

Finally, the manual provides instructions for adjusting the motor belt, which may become loose over time. This involves adjusting the parallelism of the motor with a wrench and then tightening the belt bolts. Regular cleaning of the belt and pulley grooves is also recommended.

The manual also includes a troubleshooting section for common failures and error messages, providing solutions such as checking power connections, replacing fuses, adding lubricant, and adjusting belt tightness. For more complex issues, users are advised to contact Costway's customer service. The product comes with a warranty, offering free replacement parts for non-human damage within one year under normal circumstances.
