  If your Craftsman Snow Blower engine won't start, there are several potential causes: 1. The choke control might not be in the ON position. To fix this, move the choke control to the ON position. 2. The spark plug wire could be disconnected. Connect the wire to the spark plug. 3. The spark plug might be faulty. Clean, adjust the gap, or replace the spark plug. 4. The fuel tank may be empty or contain stale fuel. Fill the tank with clean, fresh gasoline. 5. The engine might not be primed. Prime the engine as instructed in the Operation Section. 6. The safety key may not be inserted. Insert the key fully into the switch.

The fuel could be stale. Fill the tank with clean, fresh gasoline. 3. There might be water or dirt in the fuel system. Drain the fuel tank and refill it with fresh fuel. 4. The carburetor might be out of adjustment. Contact your Sears Parts & Repair Center.

  If your Craftsman Snow Blower fails to discharge snow, here are a few things to check: 1. The chute assembly might be clogged. Stop the engine immediately, disconnect the spark plug wire, and clean the chute assembly and inside of the auger housing with a clean-out tool or a stick. 2. A foreign object might be lodged in the auger. Stop the engine immediately, disconnect the spark plug wire, and remove the object from the auger with a clean-out tool or a stick. 3. The auger cable may need adjustment. Refer to the Assembly section for instructions on adjusting the auger control cable. 4. The auger belt might be loose or damaged. Replace the auger belt, referring to the Service and Maintenance section. 5. The shear pin(s) might be sheared. Replace them with new shear pin(s).
