Inspect the spark plug for faults and clean, adjust the gap, or replace if necessary. If the engine is flooded, wait a few minutes before restarting. Finally, a blocked fuel line could be the issue, in which case you should contact your Parts & Repair Center to have it cleaned.

  If your Craftsman electric start lawn mower isn't starting, make sure the Electric Starter Push Key is fully inserted until it snaps into place. Also, ensure the battery is charged by referring to the Battery Charger Instructional Manual. Finally, if the circuit breaker tripped, stop the engine, remove the Electric Starter Push Key, and disconnect the spark plug boot. Check for and carefully remove any grass or debris obstructing the blade. Reattach the spark plug boot and reinsert the Electric Starter Push Key. Wait one minute for the circuit breaker to automatically reset before trying to start again.
