The Crestron UC-SB1-CAM-FLEX is a UC Video Conference Smart Soundbar & Camera designed as a front-of-room device for conference spaces. It integrates audio and video capabilities, eliminating the need for separate microphones, speakers, or cameras. This soundbar can be placed on a credenza beneath room displays or mounted on a wall.

Function Description:

The UC-SB1-CAM-FLEX serves as a comprehensive audio and video solution for unified communications environments. It connects to a UC Engine via USB for audio and video transmission, and it includes an integrated camera, pre-connected from the factory. The device features line-level analog audio input and output jacks (3.5 mm TRS mini-phone). The AUDIO IN port allows for an optional line-level audio source to feed into the internal amplifier and speakers, without volume control or additional signal processing. The AUDIO OUT port provides a line-level signal for an optional assistive listening system, carrying the same audio signal as the soundbar speakers. The soundbar's operation is indicated by a front panel status bar that illuminates to show volume levels and microphone/speaker mute status. When used as part of a Crestron Flex system, the soundbar is controlled via the system's touch screen.

  • Optimal Camera Placement: For wall mounting, it is recommended to position the camera approximately 12 inches (305 mm) above the plane of the room's conference table for optimal viewing.
  • Clearance for Display: When wall-mounted beneath a display, a minimum clearance of 3/4 inch (19 mm) above the soundbar is recommended to ensure sufficient space between the soundbar and the display device.

Maintenance Features:

  • Installation Template: An included template simplifies wall mounting by providing precise drill hole locations for the mounting hardware and a cutout for cable routing.
  • Cable Management: The wall bracket design allows for routing cables through a cutout in the wall, ensuring a clean and organized installation.
  • Secure Mounting: The soundbar locks into place on the wall bracket after connections are made, providing a secure installation.
  • Rubber Feet: For flat surface placement, included rubber feet can be attached to the bottom of the soundbar for stability.
  • Component List: A detailed list of included items ensures all necessary parts are available for installation and setup.

The UC-SB1-CAM-FLEX is an integral component of various Crestron Flex UC Video Conference Systems, including models for Microsoft Teams® Software and Zoom Rooms™ Software, such as UC-B140-T, UC-B140-Z, UC-B160-T, UC-B160-Z, UC-B160-UPGRD, UC-BX30-T, UC-BX30-Z, UC-FCB-T, and UC-FCB-Z. Soundbars included with Crestron R-Series Mobile UC Systems (UC-FCB-T and UC-FCB-Z) have specific installation instructions detailed in the UC-FCB Series Quick Start (Doc. 8779).
