  • Caution: Preinstalled screws may protrude from the back of the UC Bracket Assembly. Exercise caution during handling to prevent scratching or damaging surfaces.
  • Note: The integrated cable tie wraps are reusable. Avoid damaging them during installation.

Mounting the UC Presentation Transmitter:

The UC Presentation Transmitter is designed to be mounted to the underside of a table using the supplied screws. It supports installation on tables with a minimum thickness of 1 in. (25.4 mm).

Connectivity Options:

The UC Presentation Transmitter can communicate with the UC Engine via either a direct connection or a network connection.

Direct Connection:

  • For simple installation and setup.
  • The direct connect adapter is used solely to connect the UC Presentation Transmitter to the UC Engine and should not be used to connect the UC Engine to the network.
  • Connections include CAT5e (7 ft/2.1 m), CAT6a (20 ft/6.1 m patch cable), HDMI (Primary: 6 ft/1.8 m; Secondary: 6 ft/1.8 m DisplayPort to HDMI), and Power from the UC Bracket Assembly.

Network Connection:

  • Recommended if the system is to be managed by the XiO Cloud® service.
  • Note: When a network connection is used, the direct connect adapter must be disconnected from the UC Engine.
  • Connections include CAT5e (7 ft/2.1 m), HDMI (Primary: 6 ft/1.8 m; Secondary: 6 ft/1.8 m DisplayPort to HDMI), and Power from the UC Bracket Assembly.

Content Ingest Device Connections (HD-CONV-USB-260):

  • Connect the power supply, USB audio (accessory), and a camera (not included) to the bottom of the content ingest device.
  • Connect the power supply to an AC power outlet.
  • Connect power and the content ingest device (HD-CONV-USB-260) to the top of the UC Presentation Transmitter.
  • Note: For longer cable runs between the UC Presentation Transmitter and the HD-CONV-USB-260, use a DigitalMedia™ Ultra cable only. The maximum supported cable length is 300 ft (91.4 m).

Touch Screen Connection:

  • Connect the touch screen to the bottom of the UC Presentation Transmitter.

Laptop Connectivity (BYOD Functionality):

  • A laptop can be connected to either the USB port or both the HDMI and USB B ports on the bottom of the UC Presentation Transmitter.
  • Note: If both USB and HDMI/USB B ports are used, the UC Presentation Transmitter will default to communicating via the USB port.
  • Cables for laptop connection include HDMI (6.56 ft/2 m) for BYOD functionality and USB (6.56 ft/2 m USB A - Micro B or 6.56 ft/2 m USB) for BYOD functionality.

Cable Management:
