USB Method:
1. Start the Transfer.exe program on your
computer
2. Press M for menu on the CST-300R
Total Station
3. Press F3 for Memory Manager
4. Press the down Menu Key ( or S.O. twice)
5. Press F1: DATA TRANSFER
6. Press F2: FROM USB
7. F1: SEND DATA
8. Choose Measured Data or Coordinate Data
9. Select the file you wish to send to the
computer and confirm
10. Select COMM(USB) from the top menu of
Transfer.exe
11. Select Total Station PC
12. Data will download
13. Choose File Save as in Transfer.exe Name
the file such as “job.txt” and the file will be
saved as a text file
SD Card Method:
1. Press M for menu on the CST-300R
Total Station
2. Press F3 for Memory Manager.
3. Press the down menu key
4. Press the down Menu Key ( or S.O. twice)
5. Press F2: FILE OPERATION
6. Press F2: Work EMS - SD Card
7. Select Measured Data or Coordinate file
8. Choose the file you wish to export,
Press ENT
9. Choose F1 for Data File or F2 for Text File
10. Name the file and Press ENT
11. Data will be converted and stored on the
SD Card
Downloading Data
Uploading of data is carried out in a similar
fashion as downloading. Work files can be
easily manipulated in a spreadsheet program
and saved as a text file. These work text files
can be loaded onto the instrument using the
RS232 or USB ports and the Transfer.exe
program or by storing directly on a SD Card
and converting with the instruments
software. See the manual for a full
explanation.
