Only use this socket (ground terminal) when
jump starting.

The discharged battery must be properly con-
nected to the on-board network.
Make sure the battery clamps have suicient
metal-to-metal contact with the battery termi-
nals.

The jump leads should only be connected in
the order 1 > 2 > 3 > 4

Never connect the black jump lead to the neg-
ative pole – of the 12-volt battery. Connecting
it to the negative pole may cause an incorrect
assessment of the status of the battery in the
vehicle's electronic system.

Connect one end of the red jump lead to
the positive

terminal of the vehicle with
the at 12-volt battery

Connect one end of the black jump lead

to a suitable ground terminal, to a solid
piece of metal in the engine block, or to
the motor block itself.
Connect one end of the black jump lead

to a suitable ground terminal in the ve-
hicle with the at 12 volt battery.
Position the leads in such a way that they
cannot come into contact with any rotat-
ing part in the front compartment.
Starting
Start the engine of the vehicle supplying
the current and leave it running at idle, or
switch on the ignition of the electric vehi-
cle.
Connect the drive system of the electric
vehicle with the at 12 volt battery.
