BRAKING
DISC BRAKE: Your CYCLEBOARD is equipped with a disc brake for maximum reliability and stopping power. Applying hand pressure to
the brake lever will cause the brake caliper to apply friction against the brake disc, slowing the rear wheel. The more pressure applied,
the faster the CYCLEBOARD will come to a stop. Once you have eased o the throttle, pull the brake lever towards you to slow down
and stop.
WARNING: STOPPING DISTANCES WILL VARY DEPENDING ON THE SPEED, WEIGHT OF THE RIDER, CONDITION OF YOUR TIRES,
GROUND SURFACE YOU ARE RIDING ON AND YOUR BRAKE. ALWAYS ANALYZE THE CONDITIONS AND FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF
WITH YOUR STOPPING DISTANCE BEFORE RIDING.
Avoid braking abruptly to minimize skidding and possible loss of control. Skidding is dangerous and will prematurely wear out your
rear tire.
The CYCLEBOARD hand brake lever is equipped with a throttle cuto feature that will dis-able the throttle when the brake is applied.
BRAKE ADJUSTMENT
There are very few adjustments that may need to be made as you use your CYCLEBOARD. Depending on how often and how
forcefully you use the handbrake on your CYCLEBOARD, from time to time, you may want to adjust the brake. No tools are necessary
to adjust the brake. The adjustment process is accomplished by simply using your fingers to rotate the adjustment knob where the
brake cable meets the caliper at the rear wheel and where the adjustment knob meets the hand brake lever on the handlebars.
WARNING: THE DISC BREAK WILL BE HOT AFTER RIDING. WAIT UNTIL THE BRAKE DISC HAS COOLED OFF BEFORE MAKING A
BRAKE ADJUSTMENT OR BEFORE TOUCHING THE BRAKE DISC.
WARNING: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ADJUST THE BRAKE DISC ITSELF WHERE IT ATTACHES TO THE REAR WHEEL UNLESS YOU ARE
REPLACING A DAMAGED BRAKE DISC.
