Download the installation wizard for your camera from the official support website.
Initiate the setup wizard to begin the camera installation process.
Enter and confirm a new password in the Admin Password Setting section.
Remove the protective cover from the rear of the camera unit.
Use a paperclip to press the reset button located inside a small hole.
Press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds, then release it.
Input the desired new IP address in the 'IP address' field.
Open a web browser and navigate to the mydlink portal website.
Enter your mydlink account ID (email) and password to sign in.
Select the 'Motion Detection' checkbox and click the associated icon.
Use drawing tools to define the detection area and adjust sensitivity level.
Enable video motion detection and configure area and sensitivity.
Ensure 'Audio in off' is unchecked and adjust the audio gain level.
Download the latest firmware file from the D-Link support website.
Browse for the firmware file and click 'Upload' to start the upgrade.
Temporarily disable firewall software like Norton, McAfee, or Kaspersky.
Ensure you are using the latest version of the setup wizard.
Adjust Internet Explorer security level to Medium-high or Medium.
Ensure the 'Allow ActiveX Filtering' option is set to 'Disabled'.
Log in to your mydlink account via the mydlink.com website.
Install the mydlink Lite app from your smartphone's app store.
Log into the app using your mydlink account username and password.
Select 'Record on Motion' as the recording mode.
Draw detection areas on the video feed and set parameters like sensitivity.
Ensure the 'Always Record' mode is selected under the 'Mode' menu.
Ensure the 'Record Audio' checkbox is checked in the Encoding Options.
Check the 'Enable Audio on Active Channel' option and click OK.
