20.Use extra caution when operating
with a narrow tread width (wheels
turned in). You can improve stability
by adjusting rear wheels to the maxi-
mum tread width, see page 5-24.

1. Before starting the tractor, apply the
parking brake; place the lift control le-
ver in the down position and the trans-
mission lever in neutral.
2. Avoid accidental contact with the gear
shift levers while the engine is
running. Unexpected tractor movement
can result form such contact.
3. Shut off the engine and PTO, and ap-
ply the packing brake before getting
off the tractor.

4. Do not park the tractor on a steep
incline.
