Why is my Daedong Tractor engine difficult to start?

  Several factors can cause a Daedong Tractor engine to be difficult to start. The fuel might be thick, impeding its flow. Ensure you check the fuel tank and fuel filter. Air or water mixed in the fuel system can also be a culprit; in this case, fuel pump won't work properly. Check for loosened fuel cap nut. Also, thick carbon deposits on the injection nozzle's orifice, caused by water or dirt in the fuel, can be the reason. In cold weather, thick engine oil can slow down the engine cranking.

  If the start motor does not rotate when the key switch is turned on your Daedong Tractor, make sure to depress the clutch pedal (for manual types) and put the PTO switch to the "OFF" position. Check all terminals are firmly in place and not corroded. If the switch or start motor is faulty, have it repaired in a workshop.

  Insufficient output in your Daedong Tractor can stem from a dirty air cleaner. Clean or replace the element every 100 to 200 hours of operation. Valve out of adjustment and wrong fuel injection pressure may also be the reason.
