Observe all indicator lights and gauges frequently
during operation, to make sure all systems are
working properly. All of the indicator lights will come
ON with the ignition switch in the ON position
before the engine is started.
1. The engine oil pressure indicator light (1), will not
come ON with the engine running, unless there is
low or no oil pressure. Stop the engine immediate-

2. The alternator indicator light (2), should not come
ON during normal operation. The alternator is not
charging if the light comes ON with the engine run-
ning.
3. Observe the diesel or gasoline fuel level gauge
(4) for fuel level in the tank.
4. The engine coolant gauge pointer (5), will be in
the green band with the engine running, unless the
coolant temperature is excessive.
5. The power shift transmission oil gauge pointer
(6), will be in the green band with the engine run-
ning, unless the oil temperature is excessive.
