5. 3. Auto answer: The phone is set to answer calls by lifting the handset o the
base or charger. This feature can be switched o so that calls can only be answered
by pressing Talk. Press Menu => HANDSET => AUTO ANSWER . Select « ON » or
« OFF » and press Menu to con rm.
5. 4. Handset name: A personalized name can be set for each one to easily
distinguish between them. Press Menu => HANDSET => NAME and press Menu.
Enter the new handset name and press Menu to con rm.
5. 5. Language: Press Menu => HANDSET => LANGUAGE and press Menu. Select
the preferred language and press Menu to con rm.
5. 6. Key beep: When pressing a button on the handset keypad, a beep will be
heard. Press Menu=> HANDSET => BEEP => KEYTONE. Press Menu to select.
Select « ON » or « OFF » and press Menu to con rm.
5. 7. Battery low warning beep: When the battery is almost fully discharged, a
warning beep will be heard. Press Menu => HANDSET => BEEP => LOW BATTERY
and press Menu. Select « ON » or « OFF ».
5. 8. Out of range warning beep: If the handset goes out of range, warning beeps
will be heard during a call. Press Menu => HANDSET => BEEP => OUT RANGE and
press Menu. Select « ON » or « OFF ».
6. Base settings
6. 1. Change base PIN code: The default PIN is 0000. The PIN can be changed to
a preferred number. Press Menu => SETUP => PIN CODE and press Menu. Enter
the PIN code (default = 0000) and press Menu. Enter a new PIN and press Menu.
Re-enter the PIN and press Menu to con rm.
6. 2. Dial mode: The phone is set to tone dialing. Press Menu => SETUP => DIAL
MODE and press Menu. Press Up or Down to select « TONE DIAL » or «
PULSE
DIAL » and press Menu to con rm.
6. 3. Restore default settings: Resetting the phone to its default settings will
delete all entries in the Phonebook and Calls list. Current handset and base
settings will also be reset.
Press Menu => SETUP => DEFAULT Enter the PIN code (default = 0000) and press
Menu. The display shows « CONFIRM ? ». Press Menu to con rm or Phonebook to
return to the previous menu it will restart.
6. 4. Eco mode: In Eco mode the level of power emissions can be reduced. This
feature is set to OFF by default. To switch Eco mode on: Press Menu => « SETUP »
=> « ECO MODE » and press Menu. Press Up or Down to select « ON » or « OFF »
and press Menu to con rm.
7. Clock & alarm
If subscribed to Caller ID, the date and time will be set on all the handsets when a
call is received. It can also be set manually on the individual handsets.
7. 1. Set the date: Press Menu => DATE-TIME => DATE SET. Press Menu to select.
Enter the date and press Menu to con rm.
