If an “Ed” error is encountered
on startup, verify that the
electric heater DIP switches
have been set to the appropriate 
heater size. See Tables 9 and 10 
for the heater kit airow delivery
and DIP switch settings.

The coil drain pan has primary and secondary drains. Pitch lines 1/4" per foot for free drainage and insulate lines.

Electric Heat

Description

Use only Daikin HKS series heat kits. Calculate temperature rise based on airflow, voltage, and heat kit size.

Electrical and Control Wiring

Wire Sizing

Ensure wire size carries Minimum Circuit Ampacity and allows max 2% voltage drop.

Maximum Overcurrent Protection (MOP)

Install NEC/CEC approved overcurrent protection device sized per MOP.

Electrical Connections - Supply Voltage

Use copper conductors only. Ensure proper grounding and connections.

Disconnect power, discharge body static before touching controls or wires.
