Excessive charging of refrigerant is detected by using the outside air temperature, heat exchanging
deicer temperature and liquid pipe temperature during a check run.

Conditions
When the amount of refrigerant (calculated by using the outside air temperature), heat exchanging
deicer temperature, and liquid pipe temperature exceed the standard during a check run.

 Refrigerant overcharge
 Misalignment of the outside air thermistor
 Misalignment of the heat exchanging deicer thermistor
 Misalignment of the liquid pipe thermistor
Troubleshooting
∗ Refer to “Thermistor Resistance / Temperature Characteristics” table on P.241.
Replace the thermistor (R1T,
R4T, R7T).
Is the
characteristic of the
above thermistor
normal?
Are the
above thermistor
installed on pipes
correctly?
Rectify the overcharge of
refrigerant.

Caution
Be sure to turn off the power switch before connecting or disconnecting the connector, or parts may be damaged.
Check the mounting condition of the
temperature sensors of the outside air
thermistor, heat exchanging deicer
thermistor, and liquid pipe thermistor
in the piping.
Remove the outside air thermistor,
heat exchanging deicer thermistor,
and the liquid pipe thermistor from the
outdoor PCB and measure resistance
with a tester.
