Exception
Codes
When the VLT responds to the master via the
Modbus serial network, it uses the function
code field to indicate either a normal (error-
free) response or an error (called an exception
response). In an error-free response, the drive
simply echoes the original function code. For
an exception response, the drive will return a
code that is equivalent to the original function
code with its most-significant bit set to a logic
1. In addition, the drive places a unique code
into the data field of the response message.
This tells the master what kind of error
occurred, or the reason for the exception. The
tables below identify the codes and describe
their meaning.

04 The parameter is not of the array type
05 The data type does not match the parameter called
17 Data change in the parameter called is not possible in the present
mode of the drive. Some parameters can only be changed when th
motor has stopped
130 There is no bus access to the parameter called
131 Data Change is not possible because factory setup is selected
