The Dawlance DW-136 G is a 1000-watt microwave oven designed for household and similar applications. This owner's guide provides essential information for its safe installation, operation, and maintenance.

Function Description

The microwave oven offers various cooking functions, including:

  • Microwave Cook: Allows cooking with adjustable power levels (0% to 100%) and a maximum cooking time of 99 minutes and 99 seconds. The default power is 100%.
  • Grilling Cook: Provides a dedicated grill function with a maximum cooking time of 99 minutes and 99 seconds. During grilling, the oven pauses halfway through the cooking time, sounding twice, to allow the user to turn the food for better results.
  • Combination Cooking: Combines microwave and grilling functions. Two combinations are available:
    • Combination 1 (C-1): 55% microwave power and 45% grill power.
    • Combination 2 (C-2): 36% microwave power and 64% grill power.
    • Maximum cooking time for both combinations is 99 minutes and 99 seconds.
  • Speedy Cooking: Offers instant cooking at 100% power. Users can select cooking times from 1 to 6 minutes by pressing number pads or add 30 seconds with each press of the "START/+30SEC." button. The maximum cooking time is 99 minutes and 99 seconds.
  • Weight Defrost Function (dEF1): Defrosts food based on weight, ranging from 100g to 2000g.
  • Time Defrost Function (dEF2): Defrosts food based on time, with an effective range of 00:01 to 99:99. The default microwave power for defrosting is level 3, which can be adjusted.
  • Popcorn Function: Pre-programmed setting for cooking popcorn, with options for 50g and 100g.
  • Potato Function: Pre-programmed setting for cooking potatoes, with options for 1 (230g), 2 (460g), or 3 (690g) potatoes.
  • Frozen Vegetable Function: Pre-programmed setting for cooking frozen vegetables, with options for 150g, 350g, or 500g.
  • Beverage Function: Pre-programmed setting for heating beverages, with options for 1, 2, or 3 cups (approximately 120ml per cup).
  • Meat Function: Offers pre-programmed settings for cooking chicken (CHIC) and beef (BEEF) based on weight.
    • Chicken: 400g, 600g, 800g, 1000g, or 1200g.
    • Beef: 300g, 500g, 700g, 900g, or 1100g.

  • Multi-Stage Cooking: Allows setting up to two cooking stages. If one stage is defrosting, it will automatically be placed as the first stage. Auto cooking functions cannot be used in multi-stage cooking.
  • Clock Setting: Sets the current time in a 12-hour format.
  • Kitchen Timer: Functions as a standalone timer, separate from the clock system, with a maximum setting of 99 minutes and 99 seconds.
  • Lock Function for Children: A safety feature that locks the oven's controls to prevent accidental operation. It is activated by pressing "STOP/CANCEL" for 3 seconds and released by pressing it again for 3 seconds.
  • Memory Function: Allows users to save up to three custom cooking procedures (Memory 1-3) for quick access. Each memory can store one or two stages.
  • Inquiring Function: In cooking state, allows checking the current time by pressing "CLOCK/TIMER" or the current microwave power level by pressing "POWER".
  • Cooking and Reminding Function: The buzzer sounds five times when cooking is finished to alert the user.

Materials to be avoided include aluminum trays, food cartons with metal handles, metal or metal-trimmed utensils, metal twist-ties, paper bags, plastic foam, and wood, as they can cause arcing, fire, or damage.
  • Safety Interlocks: The oven is equipped with safety interlocks to prevent operation when the door is open. It is crucial not to tamper with these.
  • Delayed Eruptive Boiling: Caution is advised when heating beverages, as delayed eruptive boiling can occur.
