Charging the Em4 (Out of unit)
With the EM4, you can remove the ba eries and charge them outside of the unit. You can
operate the unit with only one ba ery inside the bike allowing you to charge and ride at
the same me. This can be done by doing the following:
Locate the keyhole on the le side of the bike just
under the seat of the unit. Put the key in here and
then turn it to unlock the glove compartment.

then turn it to unlock the glove compartment.
Once the glove compartment is unlocked and li ed
up, you can li this sec on up as well to reveal
both lithium ba eries and the circuit breaker.
Battery Compartment
1. Circuit Breaker - Use this to stop all power to the unit.
2. Charge port - Use this charge port to charge each ba ery individually.
3. Anderson Connector - These are used to connect the ba eries to the bike.
One must be plugged in for the bike to work.
4. Handle - Li the ba ery from here to take it out / put in the bike.
