RUNNER 23
5/3 – OPTIMIZATION THE OPERATION
The squeegees on the machine are also able to collect the dirty water during movements along
curves or movements, but within certain limits; if the bend is too narrow, water may not be collected
from the outer side of the bend. It is advisable to work along as many rectilinear paths as possible
or move along the widest possible bends. It is also advisable to reverse the vehicle with the
squeegee lowered to the minimum possible extent to avoid damaging them; if the machine is to be
reversed along a long distance, lift the squeegee and head – brushes off the floor.
Our machines are designed for releasing very little water at the end of the operation; however, for a
perfect job, reduce the water flow downwards by means of the switch provided then continue for 2/3
metres: in this manner the last of the water remaining in the pipes can be collected. The recovery
water tank has a greater capacity than that of the solution, therefore the operator will know when
the recovery tank is ready to be drained as water no longer flows down to the floor; the machine is
provided with a valve that closes to prevent dirty water from being sucked in by the fan.
5/4 – DRAINING THE RECOVERY TANK
To drain the liquid, remove the hose pipe from its housing, from the plug side, bring the end close to
the container and turn the knob to remove the cap. Disposal of consumables must be done
exclusively in accordance with the legislation in force.
Even if the job is to be continued, it is good practice to fill the tank with clean water and rinse the
drained recovery tank; this will help maintain the machine in excellent condition.
5/5 - END OF OPERATION
On completion of the job, drain the dirty water tank completely, rinse it thoroughly, and at least
every ten times it is used, remove the tank from the machine to a place where it can be cleaned
easily by spraying with water with the tank turned upside down to remove all dirt deposits. As for the
clean water tank, drain out the remaining water by removing the cap at the bottom to the right, rinse
and refit the cap. It is advisable to run the machine for a few minutes with water alone, without
washing fluid, to prevent the washing fluid from crystallizing and obstructing the holes and
components. Recharge the batteries before storing. If the machine is to be reused within a very
short time, just lift the squeegee, and the head brushes assembly and deactivate the ignition key.
If the machine is to be left unused for at least one week, disconnect the battery by means of the
plug-socket O) on page 17 .
