7/1 – GENERAL RULES
For proper working of the machine it is necessary to carry out regular maintenance; these
operations, however minor, will increase the machine’s life, improving the quality of work
carried out, and make it possible to work more safely.
These rules regarding maintenance assume the following requisites:
Use in one shift
Normal environmental conditions
ATTENTION RISK OF SERIOUS ACCIDENTS
• Do not carry out maintenance without the necessary training and authorization by the
person in charge
• Before carrying out any operation on the machine, switch it off and disconnect the
contact with the batteries.
• Carry out the inspections on a level, dry surface, free of obstacles.
• Use insulating material for covering the batteries and protect them from short circuits.
• Do not replace, adapt or exclude the safety systems
• If a safety mechanism is damaged, the vehicle must not be used until the fault is repaired
and examined by skilled technicians.
Affix an “OUT OF SERVICE “ notice and remove the ignition key.
• If a malfunction is found, switch the machine off immediately and inform your superior.
• During maintenance, some parts of the machine (such as the motor, electrical
components, brakes) may be found to be hot. Use suitable gloves and overalls.
• During machine braking tests, do not let anyone stand near the machine.
ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
This maintenance must be performed by the scrubber-drier user or an operator, to keep the
machine safe and in perfect working order.
EXTRAORDINARY MAINTENANCE
This maintenance can be carried out by the Manufacturer’s operator.
