D) MAINTENANCE AND DISPOSAL OF BATTERIES
• Check and recharge the batteries according to the manufacturer’s instructions and the
Warnings in the Manual on pages 12 and 13.
•
Check the electrolyte level in the batteries once a week for normal machine use.
•
If necessary, after recharging the batteries, top up the electrolyte level with distilled water or
demineralised water.
•
Never add any kind of acid to the electrolyte.
•
Never leave flat batteries lying flat down.
•
Never allow the electrolyte to overflow.
•
Check the battery compartment for possible electrolyte leakage from the batteries.
•
Clean the batteries to prevent formation of salts or current dissipation:
- Wash the upper part of the batteries without removing the caps;
- Dry with compressed air or clean cloths;
- Check and lubricate the contacts.
•
Carry out maintenance operations on the batteries in safe conditions, using protective glasses
and gloves.
•
Remove the batteries from the appliance before its disposal.
•
Disconnect the appliance from the power supply when the batteries are removed.
•
Remove the batteries and disposed off safely, in accordance with the legislation in force.
Check periodically for residue that may be
deposited inside the squeegee rubbers or
inside the squeegee rubbers/filter tube.
The squeegee rubber blades must be
cleaned periodically and must not have
cuts or breakage which will lead to
defective drying. Replace blades that
are not perfect
The function of the front flap is to prevent
splashing against walls; therefore replace
broken flaps.
