The maximum amount of outdoor air that can enter a unit depends on the outdoor temperature
and the unit options.

The air-handler nameplate shows the required supply airflow rate in cubic feet
per minute (CFM) at sea level, marked “AIR VOLUME”.

Where connected to the DRY-O-TRON
®
, the outdoor-air intake (if any) flow rate
is determined by the project engineer. Any outdoor airflow rate must not exceed
the value
shown in the chart below, except:
a) Units with the Economizer option can have up to 100% of nameplate value AIR VOLUME
during Economizer mode.
b) Units with the Intelligent Energy Saver option can have up to 100% of nameplate value
AIR VOLUME during Intelligent Energy Saver mode.
c) Units with the Purge option can have up to 100% of nameplate value AIR VOLUME during
Purge mode.
d) Units specially designed and documented for different conditions.
