Installing a cooling fan
Prerequisites
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
2. Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system.
3. Remove the air shroud.
4. If installed, remove the cooling fan blank.
Steps
1. Lower the cooling fan into the fan cage.
2. Press the release tabs on the fan cable connector and connect the cable to the system board.
NOTE: Route the cable properly to prevent the cable from being pinched or crimped.
