Installing the touchpad
Prerequisites
CAUTION: The information in this section is intended for authorized service technicians only.
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation process.
About this task
The following image(s) indicate the location of the touchpad and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure.
Steps
1. Slide the touchpad onto the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
2. Align the touchpad bracket and place it on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
3. Replace the five screws (M2x2) and seven screws (M2x1.8) to secure the touchpad bracket to the palm-rest and keyboard
assembly.
4. Connect the touchpad cable to the touchpad and close the latch.
