3. Remove the memory module from the memory-module slot on the system board.
NOTE: If your computer has two memory modules installed, repeat steps 1 to 3 for the memory module installed in the
second memory slot.
Installing the memory module
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation process.
About this task
The following image(s) indicate the location of the memory module and provides a visual representation of the installation
procedure.
Steps
1. Lift the Mylar covering the memory-module slot.
2. Align the notch on the memory module with the tab on the memory-module slot on the system board.
3. Slide the memory module into the memory-module slot on the system board.
4. Press down on the memory module till the securing clips click, locking the memory module in place.
