Procedure
1 Locate the battery socket. See "System Board Components" on page 15.
2 Press the battery-release lever away from the battery until the coin-cell
battery pops up.
Replacing the Coin-Cell Battery
Procedure
1 Insert the battery into the socket with the side labeled + facing up, then
snap the battery into place.
Postrequisites
1 Replace the drive cage. See "Replacing the Drive Cage" on page 39.
2 Replace the front bezel. See "Replacing the Front Bezel" on page 35.
3 Replace the fan shroud. See "Replacing the Fan Shroud" on page 20.
4 Replace the computer cover. See "Replacing the Computer Cover" on
page 18.
5 Follow the instructions in "After Working Inside Your Computer" on
page 11.
6 Enter the system setup program and set the time and date. See "Entering
System Setup" on page 73.
7 Update the BIOS settings with values you may have noted before removing
the coin-cell battery. See "System Setup" on page 73.
