Steps
1. Align the screw holes on hard drive with the screw holes on the hard-drive bracket.
2. Replace the four screws (M3x3) to secure the hard drive to the hard-drive bracket.
3. Flip the hard-drive assembly, and connect the interposer to the connector on the hard drive.
NOTE:
The following steps are applicable only for systems shipped with a 4-cell battery. You cannot install the 2.5-inch
SATA hard-drive on systems with a 6-cell battery.
NOTE: The hard-drive, the hard-drive bracket and the hard-drive interposer are all optional components.

Rechargeable Li-ion battery precautions
CAUTION:
● Exercise caution when handling rechargeable Li-ion batteries.
● Discharge the battery completely before removing it. Disconnect the AC power adapter from the system and
operate the computer solely on battery power—the battery is fully discharged when the computer no longer
turns on when the power button is pressed.
● Do not crush, drop, mutilate, or penetrate the battery with foreign objects.
● Do not expose the battery to high temperatures, or disassemble battery packs and cells.
● Do not apply pressure to the surface of the battery.
