14. TROUBLESHOOTING

The tank has been inserted incorrectly

Press the tank down lightly to open the valves on

The espresso coee drips from
the edges of the fil er holder
rather than the holes
The fil er holder has been inserted incor-
rectly or is dirty
Attach the fil er holder correctly and rotate firmly
as far as it will go
The espresso boiler gasket has lost elas-
ticity or is dirty
Have the espresso boiler gasket replaced by Cus-
tomer Services
The holes in the fil er holder spouts are
blocked
Clean the fil er holder spout holes
The fil er or the perforated fil er is
blocked
Clean as described in section “11.3 Cleaning the
coee fil ers”
The fil er holder cannot be at-
tached to the appliance
Too much coee has been placed in the
fil er
Use the measure supplied and make sure you are
using the correct fil er for the type of preparation
